The Environment and Urban Renewal Policy & Performance Board met on 21st June 2023 for further comments from their board members regarding issues raised regarding HMOs.

This is the next stage:
HBC are expecting the results of the two studies they have commissioned to be available in the autumn. This will then help inform the policy options that are available to us on HMOs. We will then reconvene the working party to consider these policy options before presenting these options to the Environment and Urban Renewal Policy & Performance Board. Any significant new policy such as additional licensing or planning controls would then need to be considered by the Executive Board of HBC.
